Fabulous sofa in the Gondola style made famous by Adrian Pearsall, circa 1960s. One of the most prominent furniture designers during the mid century "Atomic Age", Pearsall is known for his innovative designs which brought high style to the masses and is credited with the creation of long and low gondola sofas, free-form walnut and glass tables, and the popularization of the venerable bean bag chair. As an industry testament to his achievements, Pearsall was nominated for inclusion into the American Furniture Hall of Fame in 2008. Upholstered in beige fabric, with single piping trim and top stitch details, accompanied by three loose back pillows with the same foam inserts as the seat, arms, and back. The wood frame features decorative front legs stained a dark walnut color, with a lacquer finish. Dimensions: 110" W x 31" D x 32" H
