“From up close, the painting looked sharp and dangerous”, recalls the artist. “But when you took 5 steps back you could see the landscape with all of it’s wonderful details. I remember thinking how marvelous it would be to use clear glass on a canvas after it too was painted and that’s when I started picking up pieces off of the streets and asking framers for their scraps”. Her work brightens every room and emits a powerful sense of happiness and good energy. Her dedication towards creating one of a kind eco-friendly works of art is a tribute to Schnabel and a testament to her love of art and recycled materials. Since 75 Percent of glass nationwide ends up in landfills, Her commitment to incorporating this incredible material in her work is helping the environment, one painting at a time.
